Haanstra & van Geel join a special new project: LoLanders

In this new Scottish/ Dutch group Mark and Oene join two musicians with whom Oene has been playing for several years already: Fraser Fifield (Low Whistle, sop. Sax, Pipes) and Graeme Stephen (Guitar).

Both Fraser and Graeme are rooted in modern jazz, folk music and imaginative composing. They play in duo since long and have established a strong connection and musical language together.

To complement the band two inspiring percussion players join in: Udo Demandt (all sorts of Western & Ethnic percussion) and Hardeep Deere (Tabla).

At this very moment new music is written, with lots of room for improvisation and adventure.

They will play their first concert on Januari 22nd at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow. More venues in the Scotland, England and The Netherlands will follow in the next 6 months (amongst them a gig at the Amsterdam BIMHUIS).
